Raipur. 3 accused including a woman have been arrested in a land fraud case worth crores of rupees in Mandir Hasaud, adjacent to the capital of Chhattisgarh. This entire case is related to 5 acres of land adjacent to the petrol pump located on Mandir Hasaud-Mana Camp Road, which the woman claimed to be hers and sold it jointly to her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, residents of Shankar Nagar, Raipur, in 2 different parts, defrauding them of 2 crore 17 lakhs. The woman and 2 other accused have committed this fraud by preparing fake documents and getting fake registration done. After receiving a complaint in the case, the police have arrested the three accused today
A cheque of Rs 96 lakh was given for the first registry and a cheque of Rs 1 crore 21 lakh for the second registry. At the time of registry, a woman by the name of Pushpa Sarathi had signed the documents and her Aadhaar card and PAN card were also presented. However, on January 9, 2025, Praveen Agarwal received information that there was no woman named Pushpa Sarathi and that the woman was a fake one, whose real name was Devantin Verma.
After investigating the case, the police arrested the accused Devanti Verma, Ruknuddin Khan and Satish Sinha. The accused together had prepared fake documents and carried out this fraud. The police have also recovered fake registry papers, Aadhar card, PAN card, loan book, passbook and other documents from the accused.
In this case, Senior Superintendent of Police Dr. Lal Umed Singh had instructed the police to take immediate action to catch the accused. Under the leadership of Thana Prabhat Mandir Hasaud, the police arrested the accused Devanti Verma, Satish Sinha and Ruknuddin Khan and further investigation of the case is going on.
