Raipur. The Higher Education Department of Chhattisgarh has implemented the Guest Lecturer Policy for guest lecturers. Announcing this, Secretary of Higher Education Department R Prasanna said that many features have been included in the Guest Lecturer Policy, which aims to improve the work and honorarium of guest lecturers.
Key points of the Guest Lecturer Policy :
- Salary Structure: Teachers fulfilling UGC norms will get a salary of Rs 50,000 per month and Sports Officer, Librarian will get a salary of Rs 40,000.
- Appointment Permission: Appointment of librarians and sports officials has been permitted.
- Continuity: Guest lecturers fulfilling the UGC norms can be retained as there will be no need to consider and advertise the vacancy every year.
- Eligibility for establishment: If a teacher fulfilling UGC criteria has to be removed due to posting of a regular teacher, he/she will be eligible for establishment.
- Time Limit: Guest lecturers can be retained for up to 11 months.
- Official Duties: They have to perform such other official duties as may be assigned by the Principal.
- Role of Examiner: Guest lecturers can also be used as internal and external examiners.
- Right to Leave: Guest Lecturers will be entitled to 180 days leave for PhD and maternity leave.
