EOW takes major action in liquor scam case: A huge cache of burnt fake holograms recovered from Dhebar’s father’s farm, suspected to have been burnt to destroy evidence, three accused arrested

  • Raipur. EOW has taken major action in the much talked about liquor scam case of Chhattisgarh. A stock of fake holograms buried in the field of accused Anwar Dhebar’s father in Dhaneli has been recovered. It is suspected that the fake holograms were burnt to destroy evidence. EOW has detained 3 accused in this case. EOW will interrogate the accused Anurag Dwivedi, Amit Singh, Deepak Dwari, in which a big disclosure can be made. It is being told that Amit Singh is a close aide of the arrested Arvind Singh.

    Let us tell you that fake holograms were used for the liquor scam in Chhattisgarh. After ED, ACB is also investigating this case. In this case, ACB has recently presented a challan of more than 10 thousand pages in the court. According to the officers, despite the long investigation of both the agencies, till now the fake holograms had not been found by anyone.

    ACB sources said that today through an informer, information was received about the holograms being buried in a field in Dhaneli. After this, the ACB team raided the place. Excavation was done with the help of JCB. During this, burnt holograms were confiscated from under the ground. Officers said that the farm from where these holograms were confiscated in Dhaneli is in the name of Raipur Mayor Ejaz Dhebar and Anwar Dhebar’s father Zaheer Haji Ahmed. According to sources, six ED officials are investigating the liquor scam.
