New Delhi: The Election Commission on Monday announced the dates of assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Telangana and Mizoram. The election process in these states will last for 27 days. Voting will be held first in Mizoram on 7 November. After this, voting will be held in Madhya Pradesh on 17th November.

MNF returns in Mizoram after 10 years, BJP wins only one seat
Mizo National Front (MNF) returned after 10 years in the 2018 assembly elections in Mizoram. In the elections held on a total of 40 seats, MNF got 26 seats while Congress got five seats. Apart from this, Zoram People’s Movement got eight seats and one seat went to BJP. The ruling Mizo National Front party made Zoramthanga the CM.
