Durg 21 February 2021. Collector Dr . Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure made a detailed review of the ongoing Narva scheme in the district at the collectorate . He reviewed in detail the progress of 980 works sanctioned in 29 drains of the district . The Collector said that the Narva scheme is the most important scheme of the government . Technically, it is necessary to build the best structures at the right places so that the flow of drains under the ridge to valley scheme is slow and the water rises within which the ground water level can rise. He said that the success of the scheme will not be measured by how many structures you have built. This will be measured by the fact that the level of ground water from these structures has improved and the area Farmers started taking the second crop. A slight increase in water level brings life expectancy to the farmers . The collector said, take gram for example. Chana only gets water once. Public cooperation is also very much required to do such work. Go public , take their feedback. Old people are well-versed in the course of drains. Work done on them will prove more useful. He said that such structures are to be built in the Narva scheme which will reduce the flow of water under the Ridge to Valley scheme , this will keep the water within and the moisture in the ground will also be good. He said that this time all the structures will be ready, then the next Rabi Crop I will start seeing its effect. The collector said that this is a work requiring extensive monitoring . This work will be done in drains spread over several km , for this the authorities will have to give a lot of time , along with the cooperation of the villagers . Officials said that now many places little has – with little structures are functions of Diselting and Deepening have been completed. The collector also reviewed production of vermi compost , sale of cow dung and other activities on the occasion . He said that Gauthans have to be self-sufficient .
