Baloda. A major accident occurred due to fire during paddy harvesting in Madanpur village of Baloda police station area of Chhattisgarh. The spark from the tractor engine engulfed the paddy threshing floor, thresher machine and tractor kept in the barn, causing a loss of lakhs of rupees. After the incident, there was chaos on the spot. The villagers tried to extinguish the fire, but the fire quickly engulfed the entire barn. The fire brigade team reached the spot and after a lot of effort, the fire was brought under control.
According to the information, farmer Rajkumar Binjhwar was getting paddy threshed in his barn with a tractor and thresher machine. About 3 acres of crop was kept in the barn. During harvesting, a spark from the tractor’s engine set the crop on fire. The fire spread so fast that about one and a half acres of paddy kept in the barn was completely burnt to ashes. Along with this, the tractor’s engine and thresher machine also caught fire and turned to ashes. The farmer has suffered a loss of lakhs of rupees due to this fire. The farmer has demanded proper compensation from the administration.
