Raipur. An important meeting of Chhattisgarh Congress Legislature Party was held today. After the defeat in the assembly elections, Treasurer Ajay Maken and state in-charge Kumari Selja conducted a detailed review with the MLAs. Opinions were also taken from MLAs for Leader of Opposition and Deputy Leader of Opposition. According to Congress sources, in the legislature party meeting, everyone unanimously agreed on the name of Dr. Charandas Mahant for the Leader of Opposition. It is believed that Dr. Charan Das Mahant can be seen as the leader of opposition in the House. Also, a consensus can be reached on the tribal face for the Deputy Leader of Opposition. However, no official announcement has been made yet. In the meeting held at the Congress headquarters, state in-charge Kumari Selja and treasurer Ajay Maken had one-to-one discussions with all the MLAs. An attempt has been made to remove the resentment of the MLAs through this meeting. Also instructions were given to play the role of a strong opposition. Also, it has been said to work with unity in the Lok Sabha. After long discussions with the MLAs, the treasurer and in-charge have prepared the report. Which will be handed over to the high command, after the meeting in Delhi High Command, the first meeting of the Legislative Party was called today, in which former Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, former Deputy Chief Minister TS Singhdev along with Ravindra Choubey, Tamradhwaj Sahu, Shiv Dahria, Jai Singh Aggarwal, Anila Bhediya participated. Through this meeting, efforts are being made to unite all the big faces back together.

Congress Treasurer Ajay Maken said that discussions have been held with the newly elected MLAs. The MLAs have unanimously given the responsibility of choosing the Leader of Opposition to the high command. MLAs were talked to one by one. A complete report will be prepared and submitted to the high command.
