Raipur. State level mass marriage of handicapped youth and girl will be organized on 16th February at Ashirvad Bhawan. The handicapped bride and groom participating in this event will be given the ritual of oil and mehndi at 4 pm today on 15th February, Saturday.

Chief guest and grandeur of the event

Program coordinator  Virendra Pandey  and  Chhattisgarh State Disabled Awareness Council president Satyendra Agrawal  said that  Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai will be the chief guest  at the blessing ceremony of  this free mass marriage  .

  • The marriage of 92 couples  will be solemnized, which has already been recorded in the Limca Book of World Records.
  • 15th February:  Welcoming disabled boys and girls on arrival, registration, free accommodation and food arrangements.
  • 4 pm:  Oil, turmeric, mehndi rituals for the bride and groom.
  • 6 pm:  Women’s songs, music and traditional rituals.
  • Music Evening: Special presentation by  Ramdas Aggarwal  and Party Dance Group.

16 February: Grand wedding ceremony

  • 10am:  Mass wedding begins
  • Marriage according to Vedic rituals:  Chhattisgarh head of Arya Samaj  Acharya Jagbandhu  and  Acharya Virochan Shastri  will conduct the marriage along with their co-acharyas.
  • 4 pm: The blessing ceremony  of the bride and groom   will take place in the presence of chief guests.

Government aid and wedding gifts

  •  Every disabled newly married couple  will be given an incentive amount of ₹50,000 by the Chhattisgarh government  .
  • Every newly married couple will be provided with necessary materials for family life  .

Many dignitaries including Virendra Pandey, Anuradha Dubey, Ghanshyam Poddar, Satyendra Agrawal, Rajesh Agrawal, Ramgopal Saini, members of  Handicapped Awareness Council ,  Marwari Yuva Manch ,  Senior Citizen Forum and other supporting organizations  are playing an active role in making this social and inspirational event  successful.

This mass marriage is not just an event but a wonderful opportunity to give the message of equality, love and cooperation in the society
