Raipur. In protest against the murder of Bijapur journalist Mukesh Chandrakar, journalists today staged a dharna outside Raipur Press Club and took out a peace march till Raj Bhavan. The journalists who reached Raj Bhavan on a peace march got angry when some officers of the district administration and police stopped them midway and the outer gate of Raj Bhavan was also closed. The journalists wanted to go inside Raj Bhavan and submit a memorandum addressed to the Governor, but everyone opposed being stopped at a short distance from Raj Bhavan.For a long time, the journalists kept demanding to be allowed inside but the officials did not let them go. Saddened by this attitude of the officials, Raipur Press Club General Secretary Vaibhav Singh Pandey read out the memorandum outside the gate to everyone. In which the Governor was asked to intervene in the entire matter and take actBecause the journalists were not allowed to enter the Raj Bhawan, they were unhappy and decided not to meet the Governor with their problems.ion.

After the Rajbhawan march, the journalist colleagues reached Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Chowk. The journalists paid their tribute to colleague Mukesh and observed two minutes of silence. 

Raipur Press Club has decided that the fight for justice will continue. At the same time, it is demanded from the government that it will ensure the safety of journalists in the state.
