In the Anganwadi center of village Tendukona in Achhota sector, the name of Mrs. Kamini husband Mr. Mansharam Sahu was registered as a pregnant woman. Under the campaign, they were getting the benefits of regular immunization, health check-ups, nutritional supplements and hot meals. Meanwhile, in the seventh month of conception, Mrs. Kamini started having childbirth unexpectedly and on 2 September 2019 she gave birth to a girl who was physically weak. The birth weight of the baby was just 1.340 kg. After this, for 14 days the girl was admitted to the district hospital intensive pediatric ward, where there was no specific change in her health. After coming home after being discharged from the hospital, the Anganwadi worker and Mitannin called him home. Since newborn baby Ku. Priyanshi was born premature, so she was very weak, Was unable to breastfeed even. The next day the worker informed the sector supervisor, after which he advised to keep the baby in warmth by the method of breastfeeding and Kangaroo Mother Care method. Along with this, the method of upbringing of the girl was made aware and under the Chief Minister’s Nutrition Campaign Dhatri was also advised to take nutritious food and pay special attention to cleanliness.
The Anganwadi supervisor, worker and Mitanin jointly visited the house and followed the necessary information related to the continuous monitoring of the mother and child, diet and nutrition, and the weight of Priyanshi increased by an average of 300 grams per month. In 42 days, the weight of the malnourished girl became two kilograms. In this way, within seven months, the child has gone from seriously malnourished to middle class. Presently this girl weighs 8 kg. In this way, the Chief Minister’s nutrition campaign brought a new ray of hope in the life of mother Kamini and her husband Shri Mansharam, who are depressed and frustrated about the future of malnourished child. The expected change in the weight of the baby in a few months not only brought the couple’s life out, but the Anganwadi worker and supervisor also got complacency with positive results after sustained hard work.
