Dhamtari: Mandis of the district will be conditionally operated from six to two in the morning: District Magistrate ordered, Mandis will remain closed on Sunday

Dhamtari 22 May 2021. Collector and District Magistrate Jayaprakash Maurya has given permission to conduct mandis related to the purchase, sale, auction of summer rabi crops products during the lockdown. According to the conditions mentioned in the order, the mandis located in the district can be operated six days a week from six in the morning to two in the afternoon and the mandi will be closed every Sunday. The above condition will apply only to those mandis of the district, where traditionally the sale and sale of food grains is done through auction in the summer days. The mandi in-charge / mandi secretary will have full responsibility of sanitizing the mandi premises daily and ensuring social distancing is followed. In the order issued by the Collector and District Magistrate, it has been said that in addition to this, as many farmers and traders will be allowed to enter the mandi premises every day as on the day of buying and selling, So that social distancing can be followed in the Mandi campus. Persons entering the mandi premises will have to show a corona negative report 96 hours prior or a certificate of applying both doses of the vaccine and it will be mandatory to use masks and sanitizers. This exemption will not apply to vegetable markets. The said order will be effective from May 24.
