Kawardha. Chhattisgarh’s Deputy Chief Minister, Home, Jail and Panchayat Minister Vijay Sharma reached District Panchayat Kabirdham today and submitted his resignation from the post of District Panchayat member. It may be noted that before contesting the assembly elections, Vijay Sharma was a member and chairman of area number 9 of District Panchayat Kabirdham.
After becoming Kawardha MLA, Sharma was made the Deputy Chief Minister, Home, Jail and Panchayat Minister of Chhattisgarh state, hence he tendered his resignation from the District Panchayat member today. Before submitting his resignation letter, Sharma went to meet the people of his area and expressed his gratitude to the people.
Here politics has started regarding resignation. Congress leader and District Panchayat member Tukaram Chandravanshi has termed the resignation as against the rules. He said that there is no provision in the Panchayati Raj Act for a member to resign. Despite this, Deputy CM Vijay Sharma has resigned, which is not in any rule.
