The yatra can pass through Raigarh, Kharsia, Korba, Katghora, Tara, Udaipur, Ambikapur, Rajpur, Balrampur and Ramanujganj. Yatra route committees have been formed for this. In-charges and members have been appointed for these districts only.
Umesh-Mahant will have a big role
This yatra will mainly pass through Raigarh, Janjgir, Korba, Surguja Lok Sabha in Chhattisgarh. Bilaspur Lok Sabha has been separated from the Yatra route. Raigarh area is the home ground of MLA Umesh Patel. The Patel family has dominated this area. Patel is one of the few former ministers who have won again.
Korba and Janjgir Lok Sabha constituency is the home ground of former Assembly Speaker Charandas Mahanta. Recently, many MLAs associated with Charandas have also reached the assembly after winning. Janjgir is the only district where all the seats are in the possession of Congress. Due to which Mahant’s stature has increased in front of the high command.
