A meeting of the Council of Ministers was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel at his residence office this evening. Important decisions were taken in the meeting:-
- An important decision was taken to constitute State Mahua Board in Chhattisgarh to promote the collection, value addition, processing and utilization of Mahua.
It is known that Mahua trees are found in abundance in the state of Chhattisgarh. Animals, birds and humans all use Mahua flowers. Oil is also extracted from Mahua seeds. Mahua flower also has medicinal properties and its seeds are a good source of healthy fats. Due to the availability of Mahua in the state and the abundance of its uses and being the main source of livelihood for the villagers living in forests and forest areas, it is necessary that special efforts be made for its development, so that Mahua flowers, fruits and seeds are of good quality. Collection and primary processing can be done with it. Along with its food and medicinal use, its processing can also be promoted and it can also be possible to establish industries for the production of biodiesel or ethanol. To fulfill these objectives, State Mahua Board has been established.
- Instant approval by the Council of Ministers on the announcement of Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel: New contribution for the officers and employees of Chhattisgarh State Power Companies who have been appointed on or after January 1, 2004, in the Municipal Body and Panchayati Raj Mahasammelan organized by the Chief Minister today in Govindpur, Kanker. It was decided to restore the old pension scheme in place of the pension scheme. About 10 thousand officers and employees of State Power Companies will benefit from this decision.
- The amendments contained in the draft of Chhattisgarh Goods and Services Tax (Amendment) Ordinance, 2023 were approved.
- It was decided to provide relaxation in the prescribed criteria for making Gram Panchayat Bhoring, District-Mahasamund a Nagar Panchayat.
- It was decided to provide relaxation in the prescribed criteria for upgrading Nagar Panchayat Ambagarh Chowki to Municipality.
- It was decided to provide relaxation in the prescribed criteria for making Nagar Panchayat Navagarh, District-Bemetara a Municipal Council.
- It was decided to declare the dismissal proceedings against the officers and employees involved in the strike of the Health Department as void under the ESMA Act.
- It was decided by Shri Kalyan Seva Ashram, Amarkantak to give concession in premium, annual land rent, environment cess and infrastructure cess for the land allotted for the construction of Sanskar Study School, Hospital and Cowshed for the welfare of tribal and backward classes in Chhattisgarh.
- It was decided to upgrade 01 post of Joint Director approved for deputation in Markfed from Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Department to the post of Additional Director.
- It was decided to create two posts of Additional Director in Directorate of Public Instruction, Chhattisgarh Raipur.
