Raipur. Congress’s national media in-charge Jairam Ramesh has targeted the BJP fiercely while giving information about the session in a press conference. Jairam Ramesh said, the Bharat Jodo Yatra has upset the BJP. Sarcasm was made on behalf of BJP on Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi. The effect of Bharat Jodo Yatra is clearly visible on BJP. The fury of the BJP is still visible.

National media in-charge Jairam Ramesh told that there will be a steering committee meeting on February 24 at 10 am. There will be a meeting of four subject committees in the evening. The Modi government is engaged in threatening the judiciary. In the context of the G20, the Prime Minister has been visiting different places in the last few months. Banner posters have been put up saying that India is the mother of democracy, but in reality the situation is of murder of democracy. When we say something in the Parliament, it is removed from the record and when we say something outside, we are threatened. In the fifteen days of Parliament, we have asked 45 questions in the Adani case. After three days of the convention, we will ask more questions.
The government is badly trapped. The Prime Minister himself has a role to play in this. Institutions like LIC have been instructed to invest in Adani’s company.
Jairam Ramesh also said that the Congress does what it says. In the matter of ED, only the Congress party is speaking out loud.
In the Adani case, Congress itself is constantly questioning PM Modi. There is a situation of undeclared emergency in the country today.
Earlier there was GSPC scam in Gujarat. There was a scam of twenty thousand crore rupees. The public company was pressured to buy it. The CAG had raised questions on this. ONGC was forced to buy it.
Everyone knows that since 2014 the Modi government is getting the privatization done. Only one company has benefited from it. How did the same company privatize the airport, port. It is impossible that the Modi government was not aware of this.
Congress party is in favor of liberalisation, entrepreneurship but we are against capitalism and cronyism. If the Prime Minister-Home Minister is thinking that the ED’s raid, the lodging of an FIR against the spokesperson will stop raising questions, then they are in a misunderstanding.
We are in favor of elections in the organization. If there is a mention of holding elections in the steering committee, then we will talk further. There is no such party in the country where there is a fair election committee in the organization. The unity of the opposition is strong. Seventeen opposition parties have brought amendment of PMLA in 2022, it is wrong.
On the issue of greater participation of youth in the organization, Jairam Ramesh said that there is a separate committee for constitutional amendment in the party. Only after discussion in the committee, something can be said on this.
Jairam Ramesh further said, we know our role in strengthening the unity of the opposition. Opposition cannot be strengthened without a strong Congress. The role of the opposition will be effective only with a strong Congress. Common minimum program has to be made. Now there is a need to talk more on this. Right now there are elections in many states in 2023. After this elections are to be held in 2024. Now we have to prepare for the 2023 assembly elections.
