Raipur. Politics between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress in Chhattisgarh has heated up once again. Congress MLA Umesh Patel has made sharp allegations against the BJP while making a statement about Governor Ramesh Bais. Umesh Patel said that there is a lot of factionalism in the BJP in Chhattisgarh. He said that factionalism is clearly visible in the Assembly as well. Umesh Patel alleged that if Ramesh Bais returns to active politics, then the addition of another faction in the BJP is certain.
Umesh Patel targeted the BJP on the question of the new Governor signing the stalled reservation bill. He said, “The reservation bill which is stuck in the Raj Bhavan is stuck despite being passed unanimously in the assembly. My allegation is on the BJP that they stopped it at the behest of the Center. As long as the BJP is in the Center, I don’t think this reservation bill will be passed.”
Counterattacked on the statement of BJP state president
On the statement of BJP state president Kiran Singh Dev that no work was done in the 5 years of the previous government, Umesh Patel retorted, “Kiran Singh Dev ji’s glasses will have to be changed. In 5 years, the public put us in the opposition, but a lot has happened in terms of work. Former Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has done all the work as quickly as possible. I think, a lot of work has been done in 5 years.”
BJP made many allegations against us to come to power
Regarding the by-election in the South, MLA Umesh Patel said, “We will fight the elections with all our might. The Congress party will fight the elections with full force. In the last 7 months, disappointment is being seen among the people, there is disappointment among the traders as well. The BJP had accused us of debt, but now they themselves have taken many times more debt. He said that the BJP made many allegations against us to come to power and at that time the youth were instigated that if the BJP government comes, they will get jobs. Now people are becoming aware of the truth and disappointment is spread among the common people. We will get direct benefit from this.”
