The pictures of Congress and BJP candidates regarding Chhattisgarh Assembly elections are almost clear. Now both the parties are face to face regarding the manifesto. While Congress has so far made 4 major announcements including loan waiver of farmers, BJP has also promised housing for the poor at Rs 75 thousand and investigation into the PSC scam.
His manifesto proved to be a game changer for the Congress party in the 2018 assembly elections. In such a situation, this time the emphasis of both the parties is on this. CM Bhupesh Baghel had also targeted BJP regarding the announcements. He had said that BJP does not have any issue. He has not made any announcement yet. BJP invited suggestions from across the state.
The responsibility of preparing the manifesto of Bharatiya Janata Party has been given to MP Vijay Baghel. Bharatiya Janata Party is asking for suggestions for the manifesto by sending suggestion boxes to different districts of the state. Till now BJP has received more than 2 lakh suggestions. The manifesto will be released soon. Manifesto committee meeting has been held, Amit Shah has also monitored it. Bhupesh government has violated the rights of the poor.
BJP leader and former minister Rajesh Munat said that the Bhupesh Baghel government changed the nature of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana for housing the urban poor and found a way to loot the urban poor. Now the entire amount of Rs 4 lakh 75 thousand is being recovered from the poor beneficiaries. Whereas in this, it was agreed on Rs 1 lakh 50 thousand as central share, Rs 2 lakh 50 thousand as state share and Rs 75 thousand as share from the beneficiary. He said that the BJP government will give houses to the poor for only Rs 75 thousand. The opposition has no issue.
Regarding the manifesto, CM Bhupesh Baghel said that when we were in opposition, we had made many announcements. We had already made many promises to the public including farmers’ loans, but BJP does not have any issue. So many of their central leaders are coming here, but they have not made any announcement for Chhattisgarh.

The manifesto committee has held 3 meetings so far. State in-charge Kumari Selja also attended the meeting held in the month of September. After this meeting, the final meeting can now be held till October 25, after which the Congress Party will release its manifesto. More than 4500 suggestions have come so far.
To know the thoughts of the people, Congress had sought e-mails and direct suggestions. They will include such suggestions which the party will like in their manifesto. For this, Congress had issued an e-mail ID on which people can send their suggestions. So far, more than 2500 suggestions have come through e-mail. Around 1800 suggestions have been received through hard copy.
