Raipur, 16 October 2021 : The Golden Vijay Mashal Yatra has been taken out to show respect to the Indian soldiers involved in the war against Pakistan in the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971 and to instil a sense of pride among the citizens. In this sequence, on reaching Raipur, Chhattisgarh, after the golden victory torch march of the soldiers, they were honored at the Science College Auditorium in the capital. More than 100 soldiers of Chhattisgarh also took part in this war.
Home Minister Shri Tamradhwaj Sahu attended the program as the chief guest. Addressing the honor program, the Home Minister Shri Sahu said that it is a matter of pride for the Golden Vijay Mashal Yatra to reach Chhattisgarh to honor the soldiers who participated in the Indo-Pak war of 1971. This will inspire the coming generation. Along with this, the feeling of respect for the soldiers who are ready to protect the country will increase.
It is noteworthy that on the call of the Prime Minister, the Indo-Pak war is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the complete victory over Pakistan in 1971 as Golden Vijay Yatra. In this context, Mashal Yatra is being taken out by the soldiers all over the country, the soldiers who participated in the 1971 war and the families of the martyred soldiers are being honored. Its main objective is to inculcate the feeling of patriotism and respect for the soldiers in the youth and the coming generations. The program was mainly attended by State President of Samman Samiti Shri Mahendra Pratap Rana, Vice President Shri Santosh Sahu, ex-servicemen and families of martyred soldiers were present in large numbers.
