During this, he met the farmers who had come to sell paddy in the paddy procurement centers of Village Sakri of Balodabazar, Gram Panchayat Amera of Palari and Nagar Panchayat Palari and took stock of the arrangements. During the inspection, the Collector went through the details of the stock register, gunny register, token register. Investigated. Along with this, the moisture content of the piled paddy was measured through a POS machine. During investigation the quality of paddy was found to be fine. During this period, the Collector has taken very seriously the complaints of farmers purchasing more paddy in the name of drought and not having moist paddy within the prescribed limits. He bluntly told all the officers and managers that under no circumstances should farmers be asked to weigh more paddy in the name of dryness, nor should paddy be purchased with moisture more than the prescribed limit. During this, the Collector told the paddy procurement center in-charge that the farmer produces paddy by working hard. Take special care to ensure that farmers get a fair price for their hard work and that their work is respected. He said that it is mandatory to maintain shade and seating arrangement in the paddy procurement centre. Only as many farmers as can be purchased from paddy in a day should be called to the paddy procurement centre. It should not happen that a farmer comes to sell paddy and has to stay unnecessarily for a long time. The collector talked to the farmers.
Collector Kumar also talked to farmers, farm in-charge, laborers and villagers on the spot. During the conversation, Pradeep Kumar, resident of village Amera, told Collector Kumar that he did not face any problem in selling paddy. During Sakri paddy purchase, farmer village Sakri Dhani Ram Sahu told that today I have sold 900 bags of paddy in the Sakri purchase centre. Similarly, the manager of Palari paddy procurement told that about 800 farmers are registered in the committee. Out of which till now 60 farmers have sold their paddy. During the said inspection, Assistant Collector Namrata Choubey, Food Officer Vimal Kumar Dubey, Nodal Officer Sharma, DMO Nidhi Shashank Dubey and DRCS Gaur and other concerned officers and employees were present.
This much paddy has been purchased in the district so far
According to the information received from the Food Department, till now there are 21 thousand 282 farmers in the district from 6 thousand 328. Tons of paddy has been purchased. Under which 19 thousand 591 MT thick, 718 MT thin, 973 MT sarna are included. In lieu of this, payment of approximately Rs 43 crore has been made through online medium. So far 4 thousand 192 MT DO has been issued. Approximately 1 thousand 97 metric tons have also been lifted by the miller. It is noteworthy that 1 lakh 62 thousand 534 farmers are registered in the district. Under which, it is estimated that 7 lakh 48 thousand 924 tonnes will be purchased this year. Till now only 2.84 percent of the total purchase has been purchased.
