Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai reached Sant Gahira Guru Ashram in village Gahira situated in Lalunga area of Raigarh district today, where he offered flowers on the photograph of Param Pujya Gahira Guru ji and received his blessings and participated in Shri Vishnu Maha Yagya and prayed for the happiness, prosperity and well-being of the people of the state. On this occasion, he paid homage by offering flowers at the Samadhi Sthal of Sant Gahira Guru. Apart from this, he also participated in the mass marriage ceremony organized in villa
On this occasion, Chief Minister Sai said that he has a deep emotional bond with village Gahira, it is the birthplace of revered Saint Gahira Guruji and a holy place. He recalled that he got the privilege of becoming an MP from Raigarh parliamentary constituency for the first time due to the blessings of this holy land. He said that during Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s tenure as Prime Minister, MPs were asked to adopt a village in their area and do development work, then he chose village Gahira and did development work here, although some work remained incomplete. On coming to village Gahira again as Chief Minister, he said that perhaps this is an opportunity to complete those incomplete works.
While praising the contribution of Gahira Guru Sant Samaj in Sanatan Dharma and social upliftment, Chief Minister Sai said that there was a time when conversions, social evils and addictions were increasing in the tribal community, then Sant Gahira Guru ji took up the task of social reform, conducted yagya in every village, got Ramcharitmanas recited and made the society spiritually aware. He said that today this institution is working to strengthen Sanatan Dharma, make the society aware and promote Sanskrit education in the entire state. The Chief Minister also praised the fact that through the institution, children of the tribal community are studying Sanskrit and schools and colleges are being run, taking a commendable initiative in the promotion of Sanatan culture.
Chief Minister Sai said that Lord Shri Ram had spent most of his 14 years of exile in Chhattisgarh, the evidence of which is still present at various places in the state. While inviting the people of the state for Prayagraj Maha Kumbh, he said that the entire arrangement for the stay of the devotees has been made by the Chhattisgarh government. He said that priority is being given to sustainable development and good governance in the state, so that every citizen gets the benefit of prosperity and good governance.
Blessings given to newly married couples in mass marriage ceremony
Chief Minister Sai attended the mass marriage ceremony organized in village Gahira and after getting acquainted with the newly married couples, blessed them for a happy married life. On this occasion, Chief Minister Sai said that with the blessings of Saint Gahira Guruji, the work of good governance and development is continuing in Chhattisgarh. Our government is determined to take Chhattisgarh to new heights of development while keeping the culture and spiritual traditions of the state intact.
