Raipur. Swachhata Hi Seva Abhiyan 2024 will start on September 17 at 8 am at Telibandha pond premises. The program will be presided over by Deputy Chief Minister Arun Saw and Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai will be the chief guest. On this occasion, various programs and activities related to cleanliness will be organized, which will run till October 1.
Commissioner Abinash Mishra issued instructions
Raipur Municipal Corporation Commissioner Abinash Mishra held a meeting today in which he directed the zone commissioners and health officials to give top priority to cleanliness-related activities. The meeting was also attended by other senior officials, including Municipal Corporation Additional Commissioner Rajendra Prasad Gupta, Raipur Smart City Limited General Manager (IT) Ashish Mishra, and Swachh Bharat Mission Branch Executive Engineer Radhumani Pradhan.
Outline of state level sanitation program
The state-level program organized at Telibandha pond complex on September 17 will include mass oath, shramdaan, cleanliness marathon, and other activities under Swachhata Hi Seva in the presence of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai and Deputy Chief Minister Arun Saw. Along with this, the inauguration of sparrow artwork made of scrap in Gandhi Udyan, tree plantation, and environmental protection oath programs will also be organized.
Special programs for cleanliness awareness
On September 18, a cleanliness cyclethon will be organised in the city, and on September 19, a one-day workshop will be organised for street vendors. The workshop will discuss cleanliness, traffic rules, and financial literacy. On September 20, a cleanliness audit of public community toilets will be conducted and ratings will be provided.
21-27 September: Special cleanliness work
From 21 to 27 September, special cleanliness work will be done in the entire city. Public representatives, religious leaders, and various organizations will participate in it. During this time, wall painting, hoardings, and other activities will be done to spread the message of cleanliness.
28-30 September: Junk engagement and cultural programs
On September 28, artworks made from junk will be showcased and sold, and on September 29, cultural programmes will be held to promote cleanliness. On September 30 and October 1, single window camps and health check-up camps will be organised for Safai Mitras.
October 2: Closing on Clean India Day
On Swachh Bharat Diwas on 2 October 2024, cleanliness targeted units will be showcased, benefits of welfare schemes to Safai Mitras, and achievements of Swachhata Fest will be showcased. Certificates will be awarded to participants who perform well.
