Kawardha. Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai met the families of the deceased in the Kawardha pickup accident today. He reached village Semraha of Kukdur in Kabirdham district and met the families of the deceased and expressed his condolences. The people of the victim’s family got emotional after seeing the Chief Minister among them and shared their grief one by one. CM Sai also talked to the family members and gave them strength and said that he will stand with the Chhattisgarh government in this hour of crisis.
CM Sai told the family members that today is a very sad day. We are all sad for the incident that happened. As soon as I got the information about the incident, I told Home Minister Vijay Sharma to reach there as soon as possible and provide whatever immediate help is possible. On which the Home Minister immediately reached there from Raipur and provided necessary help to the affected families and the injured. Our officers also reached the spot immediately. The local MLA here also called me and informed me about the incident. This incident is really sad and the death of ten members of a single family together is like a mountain of sorrow. The lives lost in the accident can never be compensated, we can only offer condolences.
CM Sai said that in this hour of crisis, we all are with you and the Chhattisgarh government is also standing with you. As the Chief Minister, on behalf of the government, we have announced a financial assistance of five lakh rupees each, which will be given to you soon. It is a good thing that the Pandaria MLA has taken the responsibility of the education of the young children of the deceased family. We will definitely do whatever the Chhattisgarh government can do for the welfare of the deceased families. I pray to God to give peace to the souls of the deceased and strength to the bereaved family to bear this grief.
It is noteworthy that on 20th May, 19 people were killed and many workers were injured when a pickup full of workers plucking tendu leaves overturned in Bahpani village of Kukdur in Kabirdham district. After the incident, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai had talked to the families of the deceased on phone. Today Sai reached the village to meet the affected families and consoled them by sharing their grief.
