Raipur: The Chhattisgarh government has sent a magisterial probe into why the explosion occurred at a gunpowder factory in Borasi village in Bemetara district. At the same time, the government has offered to pay for burial and medical expenditures for the workers who were killed or sustained injuries in the mishap. The Chief Minister, Vishnudev Sai, who is active on the social media platform X, also posted information regarding financial aid to the victims of the mishap in which he committed to give five lakh rupees to the families of the dead workers and fifty thousand rupees to the injured ones.
He revealed that the fatal explosion which occurred in one of the distinguished Gunpowder factories has given a spark to the state government. The Chief Minister stated that the seriously injured workers will be given adequate medical attention by a nearby clinic and transported to a hospital in Raipur if needed. Additionally, he confirmed that rescue and relief activities at the site continue to be coordinated by leaders to ensure that all essential work is immediately done when required.
It has been a traumatic testimony of how workers in such a risky sector experience their occupancy life phases. The statement showing that a magisterial inquiry has been launched to investigate the root cause of the blast is part of the belief that the government would ensure some mishap of this nature does not happen again. This shall entail a thorough physical inspection of the premises carrying out actual production, general safety practices, and compliance with codes of law.
The Rs 2 lakh announced by Chief Minister Sai is expected to help the families support themselves in the near future as and when they need it. Swift government action, and commitment to the victims’ and family members’ aid proves its concern with enhancing safe measures in such facilities.
