Raipur. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has inaugurated the historic Congress building located at Gandhi Maidan after its reconstruction. During this, the chief guest of the program was AICC general secretary of Congress and in-charge of Chhattisgarh, Kumari Selja. Addressing CM Bhupesh Baghel said, before independence, our forefathers had started it on the day of Punni Mela. It started with a handful of rice and paddy donation. When this building was built in 1939, it was the biggest building in Raipur. People have emotional attachment to this building. Rahul, Priyanka Gandhi and Sonia ji all have come to this building. There is a lot of historical heritage. Further, he said, the way the forefathers started, in the same way we also started. Used to make strategy from the new building. Staying in the opposition for 15 years, we had built the building by struggling. When the government was formed, we have taken a pledge to build Rajiv Bhavan in all the districts. This building is the oldest as well as the newest. Everyone’s hard work paid off, I congratulate everyone.
