Shri Bhupesh Baghel will inaugurate two more new districts of the state on September 3. With this, Sarangarh-Bilaigarh will come into existence as 30th district and Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai as 31st district of the state. It is a very important achievement for the state of Chhattisgarh that in a span of two days, people have received the gift of three new districts. With the creation of these new districts, the access of the administration and administration to the people will be strengthened, due to which the development works in these areas will get speedy. Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel will give a gift of Rs.931 crore 37 lakh for the development and construction works in these newly formed districts along with inaugurating the above two districts during the program organized at Sarangarh and Khairagarh. Chief Minister Shri Baghel will inaugurate development works worth 512.29 crores and Bhoomi Pujan of 54.52 crores on the inauguration of Sarangarh-Bilaigarh district.
Sarangarh, the district headquarter of the newly formed district Sarangarh-Bilaigarh, is located on Raigarh to Raipur National State Road No. 200. The airstrip has been located here since the time of the princely state. District Headquarter Sarangarh is the Tehsil Headquarter and Sub-Divisional Officer Revenue Headquarters before the formation of Chhattisgarh. It may be known that the formation of new district Sarangarh-Bilaigarh by including sub-division Sarangarh, Tehsil Sarangarh and Barmakela of district Raigarh under Bilaspur division and sub-division-Bilaigarh of district Balodabazar-Bhatapara and Tehsil Bilaigarh under Raipur division. In which three tehsils of Sarangarh, Barmakela and Bilaigarh and sub-tehsils Kosir and Bhatgaon will be included. The newly formed district consists of three Janpad Panchayats, Sarangarh, Barmkela and Bilaigarh. The boundaries of this newly formed district are Raigad in the north,
According to the 2011 census, the total population here is 6 lakh 17 thousand 252. There are 759 villages, 349 gram panchayats, 5 urban bodies. Under which 20 Revenue Inspector Divisions are included, which include Sarangarh, Hardi, Salar, Kosir, Chhind, Godam, Ulkhar, Barmkela, Gobarsingha, Devgaon, Dongripali, Saria, Bilaigarh, Pawani, Govindavan, Jamgahan, Bhatgaon, Girsa, Bilaspur and Sarsiwa. . Whose total revenue area is 01 lakh 65 thousand 14 and 2518 is the number of revenue cases. At present, 1406 schools, 7 colleges, 33 banks, 3 projects, 141 health centers, 10 police stations and 2 outposts are established in the new district of Sarangarh-Bilaigarh.
The newly formed Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai will be under Durg division. Its population is 3 lakh 68 thousand 444. The total number of villages is 494 and there are 3 urban bodies. There will be two sub-divisions Khairagarh and Gandai-Chhuikhadan. Three tehsils will be Gandai, Chhuikhadan, Khairagarh, while two development blocks will be Chhuikhadan and Khairagarh, 16 will be Revenue Inspector Divisions. There are 107 Patwari Halkas, 221 Gram Panchayats in this new district. This new district is bounded by Kabirdham district in the north, Tehsil Dongargarh, Tehsil Rajnandgaon in the south, Tehsil Saja and Dhamdha in the east and Tehsil Lanji district- Balaghat (Madhya Pradesh) in the west.

With the creation of a new district, the citizens here will get a lot of relief and many important works will be done easily. The general public will get the benefit of administrative decentralization. Basic facilities like education, health, drinking water, food grains will be easily available to the people and facilities will be expanded. At the same time, the implementation of public welfare schemes of the government will be easy to the remote areas. Road connectivity, construction of culverts and culverts will increase the convenience of traffic in remote forest areas.
