Raipur 19 October 2021 : Not only minor forest produce is being collected in Chhattisgarh, but many types of herbal medicines and products are being prepared by processing them. These works are also providing employment to youth and women self-help groups. Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel and Shri Sachin Rao today inspected the herbal product sales center Sanjeevani at GE Road near the Collectorate of Raipur. Learned about marketing and sale of about 120 types of herbal products prepared from processing units in these centres.
During the inspection, the Chief Minister informed that the marketing and sale of these products from Chhattisgarh herbal brand is being done by Chhattisgarh State Minor Forest Produce Association through Chhattisgarh Herbal Sanjeevani Sales Center in Raipur. The products manufactured by the major products manufactured through self-help groups of various forest divisions, district unions of the state are being sold here. This has given a boost to the marketing and sale of forest products of Chhattisgarh. He said that after the establishment of processing units, the income of the local people has increased. Arrangements have been made for sale in e-commerce platform to provide market for the finished products from women groups across the country.
It is worth mentioning that Sanjeevani selling centers include major products manufactured from different districts of the state such as cashew nut, Chiroujin, Mahua oil of Jagdalpur district, Tikhur of Kondagaon district, Tamarind Chapati, Phool Broom from Narayanpur and Mahua Laddu of Kanker. Similarly, honey of Bhanupratappur district, Sarv Jwar Har Churna of Gariaband district and Jamun juice of Balodabazar, Amla candy and other products are included. Thus honey of Bilaspur district, asparagus powder of Katghora, Ashwagandha powder, white musli powder of Marwahi district, Chyawanprash of Jashpur district, sanitizer, Mahua sc of Rajnandgaon district, honey of Kawardha district and Mahua chutney of Balod district, Mahua pickle products etc. also includes.
