With the entry of monsoon in Chhattisgarh, there has been a rapid drop in the temperature. Till three days back, the maximum temperature at most places in the state was 42-43 degree Celsius, which has now come down to 32-33 degree Celsius. The night’s minimum temperature has also decreased by up to 7 degrees. The humidity has increased by 40 per cent due to clouds, rain and cold winds.

In the last 24 hours, maximum rainfall of 98.8 mm has been recorded in Gariaband district. Korea has received 86.4 mm of rain. In the entire state where people have got relief from the heat. On the other hand, due to heavy rains in the urban areas of Dhamtari district, the water level of Sondhur river has increased. Due to which people are facing problems.
Temperature dropped by 10 degrees
Balodabazar was the hottest on June 21. A temperature of 42.7 degrees Celsius was recorded here. Which has reduced to 32.6 degrees. A drop in temperature of about 10 degrees has been recorded here. In Janjgir, where the temperature was 41.8 degree Celsius on June 21, it has come down to 34.5 degree Celsius on June 23. In Mungeli, one of the hottest cities of the state, the temperature was 42.5 degrees, it has come down to 32.9 degrees.

In Durg, the temperature decreased from 40.6 degree to 37.2, in Rajnandgaon it decreased from 41.5 degree to 31.5, in Raigarh the temperature which was 42.7 degree on June 21 has now come down to 34 degree Celsius, in Bilaspur the temperature has also decreased from 41.4 degree to 32.2. Similarly, the temperature in Mahasamund which was 39.6 degree has become 31.7 degree Celsius. In the capital Raipur, the temperature has dropped from 41.6 degree Celsius to 31.1 degree Celsius. The rainfall figures in these areas are in centimetres.

Chhuikhadan, Makdi, Kota, Saraipali, Balodabazar, Ambagarh Chowki, Simga, Bastar, Thankamharia, Palmgarh, Geedam, Tokpal, Katekalyan, Manora, Dongargarh, Mainpur, Mohla, Chhindgarh, Sahaspur Lohara, Tamnar and Duldula recorded 3 cm of rain. .
Trouble came here with the entry of monsoon
The trouble has started with the monsoon in the Nagri block of the district. In Odisha, water from heavy rains reached Sondhur river by late evening of 22 June. There was a sudden flood in the river. Meanwhile, around 50 villagers riding in a tractor were saved from being swept away by the strong current of water while crossing the river. After a lot of effort, the local youth took everyone out safely. The Meteorological Department says that the monsoon will be active in the whole of Chhattisgarh in 1 to 2 days. With cloudy weather across the state on Saturday as well, there is a warning of thunder and heavy rain in some areas. The maximum rainfall can occur in Bastar region. Here a red alert of heavy rain has been issued for Sukma district. Due to the effect of Dronika, the weather changed on Thursday and it was cloudy across the state including Raipur and cold winds also brought down the maximum temperature. Along with this, there was rain in some areas of the state.

The Meteorological Department says that the weather patterns will remain changed and people will get relief from the heat. Now the trend of fall in maximum temperature will continue in the state. The maximum temperature will drop by 3.5 degrees in the coming five days. Now there are chances of continuous rains across the state.
