Chief Minister interacted with farmers through video conferencing, inquired about the
benefits of Kisan Nyay Yojana

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has said that the farmers of the state have reposed faith in the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana. The farmers of Chhattisgarh will continue to get the benefit of this scheme. The plan won’t stop. The Chief Minister said this after a virtual discussion with farmers of different districts during the program of transfer of funds under Kisan Nyay Yojana and Godhan Nyay Yojana today.
The farmers had urged the Chief Minister that they were getting financial benefits from the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana. This plan should go on. The Chief Minister said that as input subsidy under Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, Rs. 9 thousand per acre to paddy growing farmers, Rs. 10 thousand per acre to farmers taking fragrant paddy and other Kharif crops and 3 years to plantation farmers. The amount will be given at the rate of 10 thousand per acre. Farmers should take maximum number of benefits of this scheme. Farmers said that after getting registered with the Seed Corporation, they are getting good profit by selling fragrant paddy.
Through video conferencing, the Chief Minister Shri Shyam Lal Yadav, farmers taking paddy and other crops of Dantewada district and Ram Nag, cultivators of fragrant paddy, Yogesh Sahu and Mahendra Kumar Verma, farmers of Patan in Durg district, Bemetara I spoke to Paddy cultivators Bahal Ram Verma and Rishi Verma and Rajnandgaon fragrant paddy cultivators Rajkumar and Sanjay. Shyam Lal Yadav, a farmer from Dantewada said that he cultivates in 20 acres. Paddy, Maize, Kodo and Ragi are grown. 45 thousand rupees have been received through Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, they have sold vermi compost worth 18 lakh rupees and have earned 3 lakh 20 thousand rupees by selling fish. Shyam Lal Gauthan is also the chairman of the committee. He said that in Gothan, poultry farming, goat rearing, fish farming, mushroom and vegetable cultivation along with vermi compost are being done by the groups.
Shri Nag of Dantewada said that he cultivates fragrant paddy in three acres. Shri Bahal Ram Verma of Bemetara told that he has received Rs.36 thousand 500 twice in the first and second installments under the Kisan Nyay Yojana. He told that he has bought a tractor for farming and a scooty for his college going son. Many farmers told that they are already producing vermi compost and using it in agriculture. Yogesh Sahu of Durg district told that he is cultivating vegetables in 27 acres, in which 56 thousand rupees have been benefited. In 8 acres, he is doing organic farming and taking crop of Bhata-torai, broccoli. In C-mart, the reflux price is being found at Rs.50 per kg. He also told that he has got certification for vermi compost, He has 30 indigenous cows. They also prepare insecticides by collecting cow urine. Mr. Mahendra Verma of Durg Patan said that he cultivates in 14 acres and he has got 31 thousand 500 rupees each time in both the installments. Mohan Lal Yadav cultivates in 30 acres, this time he is planting hybrid tomatoes in 8 acres. Rajnandgaon’s Mr. Rajkumar Sahu told that he has cultivated CG-Devbhog, a fragrant paddy developed by Indira Gandhi Agricultural University, which yielded 22 to 23 quintals. He had registered with the Seed Corporation, from which he got 44 thousand 700 rupees. Mr. Sanjay Kumar Vaishnav told that he cultivated fragrant paddy Basmati in 5 acres. Sold 70 quintals of paddy and got an amount of two lakh 10 thousand rupees. This time hybrid tomatoes are being planted in 8 acres.
