For the first phase in Chhattisgarh, voting will be held on 20 seats on Tuesday i.e. 7th November. Of these, there will be 12 seats in Bastar division and 8 seats in Rajnandgaon Lok Sabha. Apart from their Voter ID card, voters can also use 12 documents to vote. These documents will also be valid at the polling booth. By showing these, the voter will be able to vote by showing any one of these documents. 7 unreserved, 12 ST, 1 SC.

Rajnandgaon, Khujji, Dongargaon, Khairagarh, Kawardha, Jagdalpur and Pandariya are unreserved seats in the first phase. ST seats include Konta, Kanker, Bhanupratappur, Kondagaon, Bastar, Antagarh, Bijapur, Keshkal, Narayanpur, Chitrakot, Dantewada and Mohla-Manpur. Dongargarh is the only seat among these, which is reserved for SC.

Voting on 10-10 seats at different times

Voting is to be held on 20 assembly seats in the first phase. Most of these seats are Naxal affected. In view of this, the Election Commission has issued different timings for voting. Under this, voting will be held for 8 hours on 10 seats from 7 am to 3 pm and on the remaining 10 seats, voting will be held for 9 hours from 8 am to 5 pm.

Mohla-Manpur, Antagarh, Bhanupratappur, Kanker, Keshkal, Kondagaon, Narayanpur, Dantewada, Bijapur and Konta assembly seats.

Pandariya, Kawardha, Khairagarh, Dongargarh, Rajnandgaon, Dongargaon, Khujji, Bastar, Jagdalpur and Chitrakote assembly seats.
7 unreserved, 12 ST, 1 SC

223 candidates are trying their luck

A total of 223 candidates are trying their luck in 20 assembly constituencies for the first phase. Which includes 198 men and 25 women. On Monday, polling teams were dispatched to remote polling stations. Many of these polling parties were sent by helicopter.

40 lakh 78 thousand voters will vote

During the first phase of voting, 40 lakh 78 thousand 681 voters of the state will exercise their franchise. These include 19 lakh 93 thousand 937 male voters, 20 lakh 84 thousand 675 female voters and 69 third gender voters. A total of 5304 polling stations have been created. Of these, 200 are Sangwari polling stations, where only women polling personnel will be posted.
