“Construction Workers Housing Assistance Scheme” has been started from 01 March 2023.
Registered workers will be given a grant of Rs 1 lakh for housing under the scheme. Workers registered continuously for 3 years will be eligible for this scheme.
Any construction worker will be able to avail the benefit of the scheme by purchasing his own land/lease or constructed house of 500 square feet area in urban areas and 1,000 square feet area in rural areas.
In the program organized on 25th September, 500 construction workers are being benefited under the housing scheme under which a total amount of Rs 5 crore is being transferred directly into the accounts of the beneficiaries.
Swachh Bharat Mission (Rural)
An amount of Rs 12 thousand will be given to the remaining families in the permanent waiting list of Chhattisgarh Rural Housing Justice Scheme and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Rural for the construction of family toilets.
It is noteworthy that Swachh Bharat Mission Rural Phase-2 has been started from April 01, 2020, which will be operated till March 2025. Under Swachh Bharat Mission Rural Phase-2, work like availability of toilets in the homes of new families, construction of community toilets at public places, solid and liquid waste management in rural areas, plastic waste management, fecal sludge management etc. is being done. A total of 10125 villages in the state have been declared ODF. Plus has been announced. A total of 3,20,291 individual family toilets have been constructed in the houses of new families with an incentive amount of Rs 12,000, which is continuing on the basis of continuous demand. A total of 11756 community toilets have been constructed in public places like market places, fair places, religious places, bus stands, community buildings, etc. Arrangements have been made for management of solid waste in 9494 villages and liquid waste in 13236 villages. For this purpose, segregation sheds have been constructed in 9309 villages. Under Gobardhan Yojana, 335 biogas plants have been established.
