Chhattisgarh: Revenue of Rs 15 crore received in one day, registration done till midnight, income of Rs 1 billion 22 crore in a year

Raipur. On Sunday, the last day of the financial year 2023-24, all the registration offices in the state remained open till late night. The registration office located in the Collectorate premises of Raipur was also crowded with people getting the land registered. Here the registry work was done till 1 o’clock in the night. Rs 15 crore revenue has been received in Raipur in just one day. Last time only Rs 9 crore revenue was received. Let us tell you that in the financial year 2022-23, there was an income of more than Rs 94 crore, 18 lakh. Whereas in 2023-24, revenue of more than Rs 1 billion 22 crore has been received.

The closure of 34% discount will have an impact on the public’s pockets. From April 1, the general public will have to pay more than Rs 1 lakh 10 thousand stamp duty and registration fee for purchasing land worth Rs 10 lakh. Farmers will benefit by abolishing the 30 per cent guideline relaxation, whereas in the case of acquisition, the 30 per cent relaxation had no impact earlier and will not have it even now.

Previous government had given 30% discount, now the price will increase

After the formation of the Congress government in the state, on July 25, 2019, the order of 30% relaxation in collector guidelines was implemented across the state. Due to this, there was no change in the prices of land in 5 years i.e. land worth Rs 1 crore was bought for Rs 70 lakh, but now the state government has decided not to continue this order from April 1, 2024, due to which now the plot The prices of land and houses will also increase.
