Raipur. Social media has become the biggest medium for political parties to create and spoil their image, to take issues to the public and to create a perception. In a way, it has become an electoral weapon in elections. If there is any party in the country that can take full advantage of this, it is BJP. BJP is much ahead of other political parties in social media.
BJP is so active on social media regarding the 2024 Lok Sabha elections that a series of poster wars has started. BJP is releasing posters of Congress leaders one after the other. It seems as if BJP is running with a target and the target is the Lok Sabha candidates of Congress.
In this series, BJP released the first poster regarding Rajnandgaon Lok Sabha candidate, former Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel.
The second poster was released regarding Janjgir Lok Sabha candidate Dr. Shivkumar Dahria.
The third poster was released regarding Korba Lok Sabha candidate Jyotsana Mahant.
On poster war, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma says that ‘Poster war keeps going on in elections. The poster maker writes and reads something keeping some incident in mind. There is also imagination in this.
However, BJP leader Kedar Gupta calls the posters issued against Congress leaders as the reality of Congress. While justifying the posters, they also talk about religious conversion and love jihad. They also say that if what was said in the poster was not true, there would not have been a BJP government today. By keeping Congress aside, the people have formed the government of BJP.
At the same time, Congress seems to be lagging behind poster wise. Generally, the sequence of attack and counter attack between BJP and Congress has been seen many times on social media, but Congress has not yet released any poster in response to the last three posters released by BJP.
Former minister Dr. Shivkumar Dahria, candidate from Janjgir, says that ‘BJP does not have any issue. Issue-less BJP is spreading lies. She is trying to prove it true by spreading 100 lies.
Well, in this game of lies and truth, the result of Lok Sabha will tell with whom the public will align. At present, the question is why Congress is left behind in the game that BJP is playin.
