Chhattisgarh High Court Chief Justice Ramesh Sinha took oath, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and many ministers were present

Raipur. 29 March 2023. Justice Ramesh Sinha was sworn in as the Chief Justice of the Chhattisgarh High Court by Governor Bishwabhushan Harichandan at the Raj Bhavan. With this, Justice Ramesh Sinha has become the 15th Chief Justice of the Chhattisgarh High Court.

Before taking oath at Raj Bhavan, Chief Justice Ramesh Sinha was welcomed at State Guest House Pahuna on reaching capital Raipur. During this, apart from Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, other members of the cabinet, Justice of the Chhattisgarh High Court and many officials of the Chhattisgarh government were present.
Before being appointed as the Chief Justice of the Chhattisgarh High Court, Justice Ramesh Kumar Sinha was posted in the Allahabad High Court. He obtained LLB degree from Allahabad University in 1990. After this, on September 8, 1990, enrollment as an advocate was started. While practicing in the Allahabad High Court, he gained proficiency in criminal and civil matters.

After 21 years of advocacy, he was posted as Additional Judge in Allahabad High Court on 21 November 2011 from Bar Quota. About 2 years later, on 6 August 2013, he started working in the Allahabad High Court as a permanent judge. He has also been on the post of member of Administrative Commission, Lucknow. His date of retirement is 4 September 2026.
