Chhattisgarh: Election campaign noise subsides, voting will be held on 70 seats on November 17, 958 candidates in the electoral fray.

Raipur. After the completion of the first phase of Chhattisgarh Assembly elections on November 7, the noise of campaigning for the second phase has also stopped this evening. Voting will be held on November 17 for the second phase of voting in 70 assembly constituencies.

Let us tell you that campaigning on public platforms has been banned from 5 pm on Wednesday, 48 hours before the closing time of voting, but during this time candidates will be able to do door-to-door public relations. A total of 958 candidates are trying their luck in 70 assembly constituencies of the second phase, out of which 827 are male, 130 female and one of third gender. During the second phase of voting, one crore 63 lakh 14 thousand 479 voters of the state will exercise their franchise. These include 81 lakh 41 thousand 624 male voters, 81 lakh 72 thousand 171 female voters and 684 third gender voters. A total of 18 thousand 833 polling stations have been set up to ensure smooth voting. Of these, there are 700 Sangwari polling stations where only women polling personnel will be posted.

Voting will be held on 70 seats in the second phase

In the second phase of assembly general elections in Chhattisgarh, voting will be held in 70 assembly constituencies on November 17. For this, the time fixed from 8 am to 5 pm has been fixed. Voting will be held from 7 am to 3 pm only in nine polling stations of Bindranwagarh assembly constituency – Kamarbhaudi, Aamora, Odh, Bade Gobra, Ganwargaon, Gariba, Nagesh, Sahbinakchhar and Kodomali. Apart from these, in the remaining polling stations of Bindranavagarh, like other 69 assembly constituencies, voting will be done from 8 am to 5 pm.

In the second phase for the assembly general elections, Bharatpur-Sonhat, Manendragarh, Baikunthpur, Premnagar, Bhatgaon, Pratappur, Ramanujganj, Samri, Lundra, Ambikapur, Sitapur, Jashpur, Kunkuri, Pathalgaon, Lailunga, Raigarh, Sarangarh, Kharsia, Dharamjaigarh, Rampur, Korba, Katghora, Pali-Tanakhar, Marwahi, Kota, Lormi, Mungeli, Takhatpur, Bilha, Bilaspur, Beltara, Masturi, Akaltara, Janjgir-Champa, Sakti, Chandrapur, Jaijapur, Pamgarh, Saraipali, Basna, Khallari, Mahasamund, Bilaigarh, Kasdol, Balodabazar, Bhatapara, Dharsiwa, Raipur Rural, Raipur Nagar West, Raipur Nagar North, Raipur Nagar South, Arang, Abhanpur, Rajim, Bindranavagarh, Sihawa, Kurud, Dhamtari, Sanjari-Balod, Dondilohara, Gunderdehi, Patan, Durg Rural, Voting will be held in Durg city, Bhilai Nagar, Vaishali Nagar, Ahiwara, Saja, Bemetara and Navagarh assembly constituencies.
