Six soldiers injured in the encounter with Naxalites during the first phase of voting for Chhattisgarh Assembly are undergoing treatment in Raipur. Chhattisgarh Chief Electoral Officer Reena Baba Saheb Kangale and Special General Observer of the Election Commission of India Dharmendra S Gangwar reached the hospital to meet the injured soldiers. Voter awareness campaign was conducted in Bhatapara of Balodabazar. The district has been awarded two “Golden Book Awards”. Apart from this, an awareness campaign was also conducted for daughters, in which the slogan ‘If there is a daughter, there is tomorrow’ was given. People enthusiastically participated in the theme ‘Voting is the right option’ in the district. 60 year old Qureshi is creating awareness about voting.

In Dharsiwan, Raipur, a 60 year old man is walking with the tricolor in his hands, on whose clothes it is written that voting is your right from the age of 18, vote, make great donation. His name is Hussain Qureshi. He is a resident of Telibandha, Raipur. On March 26, 2018, he came out of the Red Fort in Delhi with the national flag in his hand. Kept making people aware about voting. Now he is appealing to everyone in Dharsiwan area to vote. Hussain Qureshi is saying that voting is very important for nation building. Every vote of citizens and youth is important. Came to Raipur in 2022 after touring the whole of India with the message to the youth to stay away from drugs. They are continuously traveling on foot to make people aware.

Campaigning is intense in Chhattisgarh regarding the second phase of voting to be held on November 17. Leaders from other states are arriving to spread the message.
