Chhattisgarh: Effect of cyclonic storm will be visible, alert of heavy rain from 2 to 4 December

Raipur. Unseasonal rains are causing havoc in Tamil Nadu. Due to incessant rains, schools will remain closed in the capital Chennai on Thursday. Apart from Chennai, holiday has been declared in all the schools and colleges of Tiruvallur district. Schools in Chengalpattu and Kanchipuram districts will also remain closed on Thursday. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert in Chennai and neighboring districts on December 2 and 3 in view of heavy rains. According to the weather department, there is a possibility of heavy rain in Tiruvallur, Kanchipuram, Chennai, Chengalpattu, Villupuram, Cuddalore, Mayiladuthurai, Nagapattinam, Thiruvarur, Thanjavur, Pudukottai, Ramanathapuram and Thoothukudi districts. The regional weather department has warned of heavy rain in the next few days, especially from two to A warning of heavy to very heavy rain has been issued till December 4. In Chhattisgarh also, the Meteorological Department has issued an alert, in which it has been told that cyclonic storm Michong will reach South-West Bay of Bengal. There is a possibility of rain in Bastar on 3 December and in Durg, Raipur and Bilaspur divisions on 4 December.

According to the information received, the low pressure area over the South East Bay of Bengal and the adjacent South Andaman Sea has now completely transformed into a low pressure area. Due to this, the risk of cyclonic storm is increasing. According to the Meteorological Department, it is also expected that it will get even stronger. Within the next 48 hours, it will turn into a cyclonic storm ‘Michong’ over the south-west and adjacent south-east Bay of Bengal.
