Raipur. Superspeciality, PG and MBBS doctors in Chhattisgarh are facing many serious problems like bond posting, financial pressure and administrative delay. To resolve these issues, C
hese are the main problems
- No use of expertise in bond posting: PG doctors are being posted in PHC/CHC where their expertise is not fully utilized. This leads to a shortage of specialist doctors in district hospitals and medical colleges.
- High bond amount and mortgage requirement: MBBS and PG doctors have to deposit a bond amount of ₹25 lakh and ₹50 lakh respectively, which requires property mortgage. This is financially unaffordable for lower and middle class students.
- Delay in bond posting: Many doctors who passed the PG exam in January 2025 are still waiting for bond posting, affecting both their livelihood and experience.
- Lack of superspeciality cadre: There is a shortage of superspeciality doctors in the state, the main reason for which is low salary and absence of superspeciality cadre. Creation of superspeciality cadre is necessary on the lines of other states like Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh.
These are the main demands
- In bond posting, PG doctors should be appointed in medical colleges or district hospitals according to their specialization.
- There should be relaxation in the bond amount and mortgage conditions so that even economically weak students can pursue higher education.
- The process of bond posting should be expedited so that doctors can get appointment on time.
- Superspeciality cadre should be formed in the state so that specialist doctors can get proper respect and salary.
