Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel will be on Bastar tour today. They will first go to Sukma. Will go to Ramaram, about 8 km from the district headquarters, will inaugurate a garden here. After which will attend a program organized in Sukma. Then this evening they will reach Jagdalpur. Will participate in a ritual of Goncha festival organized at Sirhasar Bhavan here. 56 bhog will be offered to God. The tradition that has been going on for 615 years will be followed.

360 Ghar Aranyak Brahmin Samaj has been organizing Bastar Goncha Mahaparv since 615 years. This year also this great festival has started on June 4, which will continue till June 28, 2023. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel will participate in the Chhappan Bhog program of Lord Jagannath in this great festival.

The members of the society told that, on June 4 this year, Bastar Goncha Mahaparva started with Devasnan Purnima (Chandan Jatra) Puja Vidhan. With the end of Lord Jagannath Ansar Kaal, the Netrotsav Puja Vidhan took place on 19th June. Then on 20th June Rath Yatra was taken out. Twenty-two deities of Lord Jagannath, Goddess Subhadra and Balabhadra were placed on three chariots. A tour of the city was done.

There are events every day

Every day during the Goncha Mahaparva, Maha Aarti of the Lord is performed at 7.30 pm. Along with this, cultural programs are also being organized. In which local and national level artists perform Bhajan Sandhya. In order to give Goncha Mahaparva the form of a fair, 8 shops have been set up during the festival this year also, where worship material, social religious items as well as Bhog Prasad dear to Lord Jagannath are being made available to the devotees. .
