Chhattisgarh: ACB team caught bribe taker RI red handed, was taking bribe of Rs 1 lakh for demarcation

 Bilaspur. ACB team has arrested the bribe taker RI by raiding the tehsil office of Bilaspur. Accused RI Santosh Dewangan was taking Rs 1 lakh in cash for demarcation of the land. The ACB team has arrested him red handed and is busy in action.

Praveen Kumar Tarun, a resident of Torwa, Bilaspur, had complained to the office of Anti Corruption Bureau Bilaspur that his land is situated in village Torwa, he had applied as per the rules for its demarcation work. For this work, when accused Santosh Kumar Dewangan contacted Revenue Inspector Juna Bilaspur, he demanded a bribe of Rs 2.50 lakh for the demarcation. Called today with the first installment of Rs 1 lakh. The applicant did not want to give bribe, but wanted to get caught red-handed taking bribe.

Upon verification, the said complaint was found to be true and accused Santosh Kumar Dewangan Revenue Inspector Juna Bilaspur was caught red-handed taking bribe of Rs 1 lakh from the applicant in Tehsil Complex Bilaspur. The accused has been arrested and action is being taken against him under the provisions of Section 7 PC Act 1988.
