In the BJP government of Chhattisgarh, almost half of the new faces have got a place in the cabinet of CM Vishnudev Sai. There were speculations about the big names who were ministers in the Raman government and were prominent throughout the elections, but all were sidelined. The faces of the new cabinet have shown that it is not necessary to get a post just because of being tall in BJP.

Many faces like Dharamlal Kaushik, Amar Aggarwal, Ajay Chandrakar, Rajesh Munat, Punnulal Mohale, Vikram Usendi, Lata Usendi, Bhaiyya Lal Rajwade, Renuka Singh and Gomti Sai were not made ministers. The absence of these names after the list comes out makes people wonder as to under what strategy BJP did not give them ministerial posts.

Defeated by Shailesh Pandey of Congress in 2018. This time he is again MLA from Bilaspur after defeating Shailesh Pandey by 28959 votes.

Why was he not made a minister?

Deputy CM Arun Sao from Bilaspur division and ministers OP Chaudhary and Lakhanlal Dewangan are OBCs. In such a situation, the place was not available due to OBC factor.
Brijmohan Agarwal from Agarwal community has become minister. In such a situation, considering the social equation, only one leader from this community was given a place in the cabinet.
During his tenure as the Health Minister in the Raman government, there were cases like eye gouging scandal, uterus scandal. Ajay Chandrakar, the flamboyant image of the BJP and the OBC face of the party, has also not been made a minister. Ajay Chandrakar won in 1998 and 2003. Again faced defeat in 2008, but got elected for the 5th time in 2013, 2018 and now in 2023. Made ministers in 2003 and 2013.

Why was he not made a minister?

New face Tankaram Verma was given place under the social and caste equation of OBC Kurmi class.
