Cheetal left for Achanakmar Tiger Reserve from Jungle Safari, Forest Minister Kashyap flagged off the rescue vehicle

Nava Raipur. Forest and Climate Change Minister Kedar Kashyap visited Nandanvan Zoo and Safari located in Nava Raipur. During the visit, he flagged off the rescue vehicle to release Chital from Nandanvan Zoo and Safari to Achanakmar Tiger Reserve, Lormi, Bilaspur. A total of 150 deer have been allowed to be released from Jungle Safari to Achanakmar Tiger Reserve, in the same sequence, a total of 42 deer have been sent for the firsteen

After visiting the jungle safari, Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap discussed the upcoming action plan of the jungle safari with the forest department officials. During this, he laid special emphasis on adding new facilities and various activities in the jungle safari as per the wishes of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai.

During the visit, Forest Minister Kashyap appreciated the efforts of Nandanvan Zoo and Safari and called it an important step towards increasing the prey base in Achanakmar. Regarding the transfer of Chital, he said that such translocation activities are necessary for the safe habitat of wildlife and their conservation. Achanakmar Tiger Reserve is known for its rich biodiversity and natural habitat. This important initiative is being taken keeping in mind the need to increase the prey base to increase the number of tigers in the Tiger Reserve.

Forest Minister Kashyap gave necessary instructions for expansion of various activities keeping in mind the convenience of tourists. These included increasing the attraction of the Botanical Garden located in Jungle Safari and setting up of a fish aquarium etc. Similarly, keeping in mind the convenience of tourists in Jungle Safari, necessary instructions were also given for equipping the fiber top buses in a modern way and constructing an air-conditioned passenger waiting room. As per the instructions of the Minister, a deadline of July 31 has been set for all the above construction works.

Srinivas Rao, Principal Chief Forest Conservator (Administration) Sudhir Agarwal, Chief Forest Conservator Raipur Circle Raju Agasimaani, Director of Nandanvan Zoo and Safari cum Divisional Forest Officer Dhammasheel Ganvir, Divisional Forest Officer Raipur Loknath Patel, Assistant Director VK Dahriya, Superintendent Nandanvan Zoo, Raipur Abhay Pandey, Deputy Divisional Forest Officer, Raipur Vishwanath Mukherjee and all the range officers, wildlife doctors and employees working under Nandanvan Zoo and Safari were present.
