Bilaspur. There is a ruckus going on in Chhattisgarh Congress these days. After the defeat in the assembly elections, the party is not able to recover from the defeat in the municipal body elections. Recommendations for expulsion are reaching the PCC office to take action against the leaders who worked against the party in the elections. Meanwhile, now a demand has been made to expel Congress MLA Dilip Lahariya and his son Arvind from the party.
Former secretary Ravi Shrivas has leveled serious allegations of sabotage against Congress MLA from Masturi Dilip Lahariya and his son Arvind Lahariya. A written complaint has been made to the District Congress Committee Bilaspur (rural). In this letter, it has been alleged that both of them have worked against the official candidate of Congress in the Panchayat elections. MLA’s son Arvind Lahariya asked Congress workers to support rebel candidate Kiran Santosh Yadav. Due to which the party suffered losses and BJP’s official candidate Radha Khilawan Patel won.
Audio recording regarding the allegation
An audio has also been sent along with the complaint. In which a person tells that the Congress MLA’s son Arvind Lahariya has called and told him that he wants to make the rebel candidate Kiran Santosh Yadav win. He is friendly and needs support.
The MLA did not visit the area
In the complaint letter, the former secretary also mentioned that MLA Dilip Lahariya did not visit his constituency. Due to which the Congress candidate did not get support. Due to the non-cooperation of the MLA and support to the rebel candidate, Congress had to face defeat in the election.
It is worth noting that even before this, many Congress MLAs have been accused of sabotage. Recently, Kota MLA Atal Srivastava has been recommended to be expelled from the party. For which Bilaspur District and Rural President had written a letter to PCC Chief Deepak Baij.
