The voice of rebellion going on in Chhattisgarh Congress has now reached Delhi. 10 former Congress MLAs met General Secretary KC Venugopal in Delhi on Saturday and submitted their report. He held the big leaders of the state responsible for the defeat. Just a day before, State General Secretary Chandrashekhar Shukla had alleged that Congress is under the control of brokers and leftists.
After meeting the delegation with former MLA Brihaspat Singh and Dr. Vinay Jaiswal, Venu Gopal has assured that soon he will hold 121 discussions with all the 22 MLAs. These former MLAs had earlier sought time to meet Rahul Gandhi and National President Kharge, but the meeting could not take place. AICC did not get the survey done.
These former MLAs sitting in Delhi have also raised questions on the survey of the State Congress. Former MLAs say that the survey on the basis of which their ticket was cut was not conducted by AICC but by Chhattisgarh Congress leaders. Who got this survey done? On what basis were the MLAs’ tickets canceled? We want to investigate this.
Why was the survey of ministers not done?
Former MLAs say that even if Chhattisgarh Congress Party has conducted the survey, then was the survey of ministers not conducted in it? Why were the tickets of ministers not canceled? Was information about the status of ministers not revealed in the survey report? The strategists did not allow the AICC survey to be conducted.
Dr. Vinay Jaiswal said that a delegation has met Venugopal ji along with former MLAs. We have expressed our views to him regarding the crushing defeat of Congress in Chhattisgarh. The most surprising thing is that the strategists did not allow the survey of Delhi to be conducted.
He said that, KC Venugopal has told us and said that all the 22 MLAs whose tickets were canceled will be called and 121 discussions will be held. We have been assured of taking action.
Till now these leaders have rebelled
After the ticket was canceled, Brihaspat Singh made many allegations against party in-charge Kumari Selja and the Deputy CM. After this, Dr. Vinay Jaiswal accused Chandan Yadav of money laundering. Party General Secretary Chandrashekhar Shukla wrote a letter to the high command a day ago alleging that Congress is under the control of brokers and leftists.
He said that Congress is not feeling the need to review the defeat even after 15 days. Former MLA Mohit Ram Kerketta had resigned from the primary membership of Congress, but after a lot of negotiations, he has withdrawn his resignation.
