Raipur. Wednesday was the last date for filing nominations under the Chamber election process. Chief Election Officer Shivraj Bhansali and Election Officer Prakashchand Golchha informed that today a total of 75 candidates submitted applications to contest the elections. These include 2 nominations for the post of state president, 1 nomination for the post of state general secretary, 1 nomination for the post of state treasurer, 36 nominations for the post of district vice president and 35 nominations for the post of district minister.

The election officer said that the detailed scrutiny of nomination papers and publication of the list of valid nominations will be done on March 22. The objections will be resolved on March 24 (from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm), and the final list of valid candidates will be released at 6:00 pm. After this, the last date for withdrawal of nominations will be March 26 (from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm).
During the nomination process, Chief Election Officer Shivraj Bhansali, Election Officer Prakashchand Golchha, Balkrishna Dani, K.C. Maheshwari, Ramesh Gandhi, Mahavir Taleda, Anil Jain (Kucheria), Sanjay Deshmukh, Sanjay Joshi, Amit Verma, Manoj Sharma, Chief Election Controller H.S. Kar and Chamber Election Office Incharge S.M. Rawate were present.
