The accused couple had started a chit fund company named Royalco Real Estate in Rajnandgaon. In the case, 14 investors had filed a case of fraud against accused husband Premlal Dewangan and accused wife Mamta Kiran Dewangan. The case reached the court, where during the hearing, the judge sentenced the accused couple to 4 years imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 28 lakh. A fine of Rs 3 lakh has also been imposed on the company.
