Raigarh. The police conducted raids in different police station areas of the city and arrested 12 accused of writing satta-patti. Police have seized 1 laptop, 1 tablet and 15 mobile phones along with cash worth Rs 13.46 lakh from the possession of the accused. The details of the accused arrested in the case are being scrutinized. Action is being taken against the accused under Chhattisgarh Gambling Prohibition Act. This action has been taken with the cooperation of Cyber Cell, Kotwali, Chakradharnagar and Jutmil Police.
Raigarh Police Superintendent Divyang Kumar Patel has given instructions to take effective action against online cricket betting and betting writers to curb social crimes. On which the police received information from informers about secretly writing Satta Patti in many areas of the city. After which, separate teams of TI Mohan Bhardwaj, TI Prashant Rao, TI Sukhnandan Patel, Cyber Cell, Kotwali, Jutmill and Chakradharnagar staff were formed under the leadership of CSP Akash Shukla and Cyber Cell DSP Abhinav Upadhyay. These teams simultaneously carried out speculative raids at many places in the city. In which 12 people were caught red handed by the police while making betting notes on paper, mobile, laptop and tablet.
In a successful betting raid, police seized Rs 13 lakh 46 thousand 780 in cash, 15 mobile phones, a laptop, a tablet, pen, calculator and betting strip slips from 12 accused. In this entire action, a total of property worth Rs 15,71,780 has been seized from 12 accused.
