Durg. Divisional Commissioner has dismissed Ward 24 Housing Board councilor Nitish Yadav, who won the elections in Bhilai Municipal Corporation of the district by showing fake caste certificate. The complaint regarding the fake caste certificate case was made by Shadow Councilor Siddharth Yadav, resident of Housing Board Industrial Area, Ward 24. After investigation on this, Durg Divisional Commissioner issued the dismissal order of the councilor today.
Complainant Siddharth Yadav had also filed a petition in Bilaspur High Court against councilor Nitish Kumar Yadav. It was said in the petition that Nitish had claimed to belong to OBC category, but Nitish contested the elections only on the slip of application made for making caste certificate and did not submit any caste certificate till the nomination. The commissioner had also demanded the councilor’s dismissal, but when no action was taken by the Corporation Commissioner, the complainant filed a petition in the High Court, after which the High Court gave instructions to Divisional Commissioner Satyanarayan Rathore to resolve the matter within three months. After appearing seven times in three months, now the Divisional Commissioner has issued the order of dismissal.
Actually, in this case, the applicant Siddharth found out through RTI that the caste certificate was fake. An FIR was also lodged in Supela police station regarding the matter. The complainant along with Bhilai Corporation Leader of Opposition Bhojraj Sinha had also demanded action from Durg Divisional Commissioner against Councilor Salman and Nitesh Yadav under Municipal Corporation Act 19 (1) (A-1). On this basis, the Court Divisional Commissioner had issued a notice and sought answers from both of them. Complainant Siddharth Yadav said that he had faith in the court, due to which truth has prevailed. Those who won the elections by cheating have been exposed today. Bhilai Corporation Leader of Opposition Bhojraj Sinha said, the councilor who contested and won the elections by misusing power and putting pressure on the administration, has been dismissed today. This victory is the victory of truth and this victory is the victory of the backward class.
