As per the instructions of Collector Rahul Dev and under the guidance of Chief Medical and Health Officer, surprise inspection of Swastik Health Care Hospital, Ramgarh, District Mungeli was conducted under Chhattisgarh State Nursing Home Treatment Establishments Licensing Act 2010 and Rules 2013. There was no doctor present in the hospital during the inspection. Patients were being treated in the hospital by untrained staff. A total of 5 patients were admitted in the hospital ward. Who had to be operated. Earlier, a notice was issued to the hospital operator regarding not conducting the operation. Even after this the operation was being conducted through the hospital management. The inspection team sought information about Envirocare contract and fire safety NOC for the collection of biomedical waste. Which was not made available by the hospital management. Cashsheets of patients admitted for operation were confiscated.
Dr. Devendra Paikra, Chief Medical and Health Officer and District Nodal Officer for violating the rules made under the Chhattisgarh State Nursing Home and Treatment Related Establishments Licensing Act 2010 and Rules 2013, running the hospital in the absence of a doctor and conducting operations illegally. In the presence of Dr. Kamlesh Khairwar, the operation theater of the hospital has been sealed till further orders. Also OPD and IPD. Service has been restricted.
