Korba. Police has arrested Suraj Puri Goswami, the mastermind of the murder of bullion trader Gopal Rai Soni from Mumbai. After committing the crime, the accused was absconding. The accused was hidOn January 5, unknown miscreants killed Korba district’s reputed bullion trader Gopal Rai Soni and fled from his house with his car, briefcase and his wife’s mobile. The main accused Suraj Puri Goswami was absconding since this murder. The accused had fled to Mumbai fearing arrest. During interrogation and investigation of the case, it was learnt that the accused was hiding in Panvel, Mumbai, after which the police team left for Mumbai and caught the accused. On Tuesday, the police brought the accused in front of everyone at the SP office. Revealing the case, the police said that Suraj Puri Goswami’s family was facing financial crisis, to get rid of which they planned to commit robbery and theft, which led to the brutal murder of Gopal Rai So
Let us tell you that the murder was carried out by the current driver of the bullion trader, Akashpuri Goswami, his elder brother Surajpuri Goswami and his friend Mohan Minj. On the day of the incident, after dropping the trader at home, driver Akash called his brothers Suraj and Mohan to his house where after carrying out the incident, they fled with the Creta car. The plan of the accused was to take the keys of the shop, open the shop at midnight, steal the gold and silver jewellery and run away.
Superintendent of Police Siddharth Tiwari said in a press conference that two accused have already been arrested in this case and the third accused Surajpuri Goswami has been arrested from Mumbai. It is being told that the arrested accused Surajpuri Goswami was the mastermind of this murder and he had hatched a conspiracy to commit the murder after watching Crime Patrol on TV.
