Bemetra. A horrific accident took place near Baiji Toll Plaza under Kotwali area of Bemetara city of the district. Here there was a massive collision between a container and a truck and suddenly a fire broke out. After which the driver saved his life by jumping from the container, but one driver suffered serious injuries. This incident took place near Baiji village on Bemetara to Kawardha road.
According to the information, the truck full of dust was broken and its tire was being changed. At the same time, a speeding container filled with medicines and other goods hit the truck from behind. Where within no time a massive fire broke out in both the vehicles. On receiving information about the incident, Bemetra SDOP Manoj Tirkey, TI Chandradev Verma and traffic police immediately arrived with the entire team. The fire was controlled with the help of Kawardha and Bemetra fire brigade team.
After the accident the container driver fled from the spot. The truck driver has suffered serious injuries in his legs and has been admitted to the district hospital.
